Polishing a scanner drum

<p>I have sds drum polish for my ICG365 scanner drums. But i have no idea of how i will apply this and use it in a best suited way. I dont want to harm the material of the drum. Any one here who knows this operation?</p>

<p>Nope, just the withe box with polish.</p>

<p>Then contact them and ask. Scanner drums are too bloody expensive to risk to "try it and see" techniques.</p>

<p>Alternately, you could contact ICG and ask them. You aren't the first person to want to polish minor scratches out of a drum; they've had this question asked of them before.</p>

<p>I did of course ask ICG, who directed me to SDS, who again didntt care about answering my email.</p>

<p>I agree with Bruce, you don't want to mess around with the drum unless you know what you're doing, otherwise, replacing it could be very expensive. I'm surprised at SDS, they usually are better at assisting customers. Maybe the writing is on the wall (its hardly a growth business). </p>
