If you have a 35mm/2 Summicron (ASPH or non ASPH) I would love to see

your best work with it please.

Any weblinks to your PN galleries (or non PN galleries) or 35

Summicron pics in this thread would be appreciated.

Portraits/available light/colour/B&W/street.... anything please.

(Even weddings if thats what you have!)

I have been spending some time reading lots of user reviews of the 35

Summicron ASPH and it sounds incredible. Trouble is that I cannot find

any reviews with photos to demonstrate it's wonderful-ness.

I want to see some idea of its capabilities.

Or maybe you know of a NG or Magnum photographer who has pics you know

are taken with this lens type?

Thanks.

First two were with a 27 year old Olympus Trip 35 with a Zuiko 40mm f2.8

and the third one was with a Leica Summarit 40mm at f/2.4.

The 35mm Summicron ASPH is supposed to have no light fall off in the corners (unlike my Trip 35!) and to present excellent bokeh and sharpness even wide open. Can you show me this please?

This is one I took once with an R3A/50mm Summicron last year which displays certain light properties that I liked. (The content is a bit rubbish though. Sorry just using it as a test for this thread.)

I can see imperfections in the thickness of the glass and a little sharpness in the texture in the fabric but the background OOF is nice. (I like it anyway)....<div>00Eih0-27275584.thumb.jpg.01c2a99f08682e1f424f796db8e9a120.jpg</div>

I try to keep a small sample of my work in PN. Check my gallery, most photos have equipment details, and almost half of the pics have been taken with the 35mmf/2.0 ASPH.

Having said that, I don't think it's a good idea to try see the merits of this lens from these small photos. Just my point of view...

Trevor,

On my site: www.larrymishkar.com check out the Finland and Spain portfolio pages. Shots there were with either 35mm ASPH 'cron or 90mm elmarit. Your b/w images in your gallery are wonderful. I'm sure which ever lens you pick, the work will be solid.

They are all in albums and boxes at home, and I'm 16 thousand km away from it. But if you ever happen to be in northern Norway give me a buzz and I'll offer you a cup of (milk-free!) tea while you peer through my Summicron pics ;-)
