mike_halliwell
Seeing as Fuji have managed to 'add' pixel shift to the 100MPix Medium Format GFX100 via firmware, is the tech similar to allow Nikon to do the same with the Z7ii?
chulster
I don't see why not. To implement pixel shift all you need is a sensor that can be translated about half a pixel's width along each of the x and y axes, and software to blend two images into one. The same actuators that make IBIS possible do the job for pixel shift.
mike_halliwell
That's what I was thinking. It's interesting that Fuji took 6 months to introduce the firmware to make this work. Maybe trying to get around a patent maybe?
