Pictures of the Transit?

Just wondering if anybody got anything usable out of the transit of Venus the other night...

I myself was tempted to try my luck, had setup a projection (for the kids), but was disapointed by clouds moving in in the afternoon and hanging out until well after sunset :-(

I was just hoping somebody got something and would like to share!

Search "Transit of Venus" in the box at the top of the screen, then you can refine it to "Forums", if you see too much. There were many different threads, each with just a couple of pictures. I was tempted to ask the moderators to try to gather them all up and put in one place, but I never got the chance.

Just yesterday, I think I left comments on several in the Photo Critique forum.
Then there's the splendid one Bob Atkins posted in one of the forums, but I don't remember which one. I'll go try to find it and post the link.
There is also one, I don't remember whom the Photographer was, except that his shot was from Dubai and his posted image also had a silhouette of a Jet liner that I don't think was done in post processing.

There here on PN, . . . just a matter of finding them.

Great shot Bob! The clouds really add a lot to it.

I got a few myself taking a couple of different approaches.
First I exposed purely for the sun which gave me sunspots as well as Venus.
That was nice but I wanted some context too. So later I shot with a little bit of foreground. I had to change the exposure so the tree and horizon line would be visible but of course that blew the sun out a bit.
I shot both using a home made filter out of cardboard and Baader AstroSolar filter material.
