msoskil
I'm going to be running a 6 week photography club for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. They will be bringing their own cameras - some will probably have P&S or disposables. Naturally with that sort of equipment I'll be focusing on things like composition, lighting, etc. I figure each week, the first 45 min. or so will be spent discussing and reviewing pictures, and talking about a topic. Then the last 1/2 hour will be spent taking pictures centered around a theme for the week. Has anyone ever run this type of class for this age group? If so are there any suggestions? fk319
My daughter is in kindergarden, and she has been taking pictures. The best I have done is to get the subject full frame. I would thing that if you could develop the film then you would be sure it would be remembered for the next week. Good luck, I have always loved teaching the 6th-8th graders. ntv666
Dear Michael, It is Great to teach Photography to the kids. I am sure you will be starting with film . Once you go with Digital and its manupulations, the kids may not pay attention in the Art side of the photography. Well thought out programme and my best wishes to you and the young participants. Thanks for your comments on my Green Desert. Thangavelu Nachimuthu New Delhi
