peter_daalder
<a href="http://www.irfanview.com/">Irfanview </a> is also quite capable and is available as freeware.
jack_landry
Foto Magico is not available for Windows. If you want profesionnal DVD Slide show software for Xp, you can take a look at ProShow Gold. http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/screens.html
jack_landry
A small correction here: of course, DVD is not the only output format for ProShow, and the professional soft is ProShow Producer (not ProShow Gold). But ProShow Gold is excellent and quite less expensive than Producer version... http://www.photodex.com/products/producer/
ronhartman
I use Photo To Movie on my Mac, but it is available for windows. I like it better then the Apple imovie program for still pictures. And at $50, the price is reasonable.
JAPster
I secon Mr. Daalder, and cast my vote for Irfanview. Irfanview is a nift "multi-format graphics file viewer" that will load, view, print, and perform some nifty editing ops, on a very wide range of graphic file types. Inside Irfanview, under the File menu, is a Create Slideshow function. Selecting this function pops up a Slideshow Settings screen, where you select all the picture files you want in the slideshow. You can add sound files as well. You can arrange the order in which you want the pics to be displayed, as well as the interval. When you get ready to save the slideshow, you can burn it to CD, or you can burn it to a local EXE file on the local hard drive. Double-clicking the EXE file then launches the slideshow. You can even change the name of that file to SETUP.EXE., and burn that to a CD or DVD, and then the slideshow file should auto-execute when you load it into the drive. You can get Irfanview from WWW.IRFANVIEW.COM It runs great on XP.
