Pan Digital Photo Scanner any good?

<p>My mom is looking for a way to digitize our old family photos. She saw a <a href="http://www.pandigital.net/">Pandigital Photo Scanner </a>for $99. Anyone know anything about this and if it's good?</p>

<p>April, just get a regular flatbed scanner. An Epson, Canon, HP, or Visioneer will be fine for scanning prints. I use an old $30 Visioneer flatbed. Nothing at all fancy. You just need a 300 dpi scanner. (Almost everything on the market is 1200 dpi or more). Make sure it has good software. All of the above does, though I personally don't care for the HP software.</p>
