mattpenuser
I finally ran a roll of film through my PEN. Well, about 10 shots until it jammed, the film winder not advancing and the shutter button pressing all the way to the bottom. I tried covering the lens, shooting into bright light, nothing. I think the shutter is stuck. See attached photo of the inside. Is it supposed to look like this, with the curtains open? I won't try to move them for fear they bend and I ruin them. It might be wise to sell it where I bought it, on ebay. Thoughts welcome. - Matt
greg_nixon2
That looks like an original Pen. The shutter on your picture is 1/2 open and looks jammed. The film won't wind on until the shutter is pressed for an exposure. No, don't touch the shutter blades. If you have good mechanical skills you can access the shutter through the front. Good luck. Thanks Greg. I won't bother opening her up and trying to fix it. I have it on ebay. 7 days, bidding at 99 cents. If I get a few bucks I should be lucky. I have lost $ on the deal but that's business Olympus Pen EE-S 1965 half-frame 35mm film camera - FAULTY SHUTTER, STUCK OPEN | eBay - Matt
