wingell
Check out the homepage of today's NYTimes. Staff photographer Todd Heisler has a marvelous shot of a young girl cooling off in Brooklyn-- my idea of a quintessential street shot. iamkatia
Can you link us to the photo itself rather then the site? I couldn't find it. Thanks..
wingell
Sorry about that, Katia. I should have realized the image would be difficult to find after a short time. I'm going to try to post here the impossibly-long url for the shot (which now rests in a Times blog called "City Room"). I also copied the image and will try to bring that up here. If any of this works, I'll be plesantly surprised. http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/07/10/a-second-day-of-scorching-heat-in-new-york/
wingell
Okay, so I am sort of "pleasantly" surprised--one out of two procedures succeeded (the link works--for now). Enjoy the image. Cheers...Bill

rick_helmke
Bill, what have you been up to? Haven't heard from you in a while. Rick H.
katmaidog
Unless the linkage is doing it, the photo is framed or cropped too tightly at the bottom. It looks to me like the photographer just missed this one.
wingell
Hey, Rick: Good to hear from you. I'm still kicking around--how're things on your corner of the map? I dropped you an email a couple of months back but got no response. Used the p.net address they had for you. I'll try again. Cheers...Bill
