NW forum

I regularly check the NW forum. What I find missing there is a view counter. I keep hearing it's very popular but some

feedback would not only be nice for those who are active there but maybe entice some more to participate.

No photo.net forum has a view counter and I'm not really interested in spending programmer time to create one.

If you go to All Forums from the pull down menu you will see how many new posting there are in all the forums. As

of this post there are 1145 new in No Words.

I find the rule of one image limit per contributor in the No Words forum to be rather odd, what is the rationale for that?

This forum also does not have the confirmation page that's available on all other forums, why?

Some folks would dominate the NW threads with several of their own photos. The philosophy is to have a conversation through photos, not a monologue. Each photo.net member has the option to create presentations for that purpose.

Dominate the thread with a couple of photos? It's not a conversation when each person can only speak once. In any case, I find it simply odd that a forum that's dedicated to No Words posts has a single post limitation while other forums that have a W/NW sub-category do not.

Without those rules. People just post and post and post. The NW forum is not a gallery to show off your images.

It's a place for many photographers to post their take on a similar theme.

 

Other individual moderators are welcome to moderate the NW threads (if they allow them) on their forums as they

see fit. The NW forum itself is governed by overall site policy as it is much more popular.
