Nikon P7100 to be converted to infrared

<p>I am planning to convert my Nikon P7100 to infrared camera - just worring if there are any problems ahead: hot spots or something else. Anyone?</p>

<p>I do not know about the P7100, but if i would have a camera infrared or full spectrum converted , then i would choose a camera with exchangeble lenses, so either a DSLR or a system camera ( MFT maybe..).<br>

I f your coolpix would show hotspots, there is no way to fix this. But if you can exchange lenses chances are much bigger for satisfactory results.</p>

<p>I just converted my own D90 to full spectrum. Interchangeable lenses from my 10-20mm Sigma for Landscapes to Nikon 60 or 105mm for Forensic macro.....invaluable.</p>

<p>I've still got my old converted D50, but the LV on the D90 is priceless!</p>

I allready have converted Nikon D200, but now I asked if anyone knows possible problems, like hot spots, in converted Nikon P7100.</p>
