The going rate for 'used' seems to be about US$100 or more. Where to buy? eb*y. An alternative filter-mounted close-up lens would be the Canon 500D. User_276104 Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Holy cow...the prices are definitely high. I sold my 6T and 5T lenses last summer for $25 each through the photo.net Classifieds. No wonder they sold so fast. I only paid $40 each for them in 1998. Sold 'em because I've had a true macro for awhile and never used them anymore. jay_miao1 Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Eric, you're not alone on this as I sold mine (62mm 6T) for only $35 on the bay some like a least year ago and gone fast too then realized sooner or later that what I've done might be a mistake ... but I do also have two real micro lenses so I'm ok. If you doubt this is for real simply search ebay for that number and you'll see it. Most tho sell for the $100 + range. I bought a 6T and a 5T in May of 2006 off ebay for a total of $95 plus shipping. I waited for eons to find something I could afford. They are fun to play with and give me a cheap micro, obviously not as sharp but certainly I didn't have to sell my wife to afford the purchase. But then I am a guy who also does have a close focusing zoom and uses a TC-201 teleconverter to make another pretend micro lens :-) ... yes, I am THAT sick.
