wood
Love the new Critique Forum format. More images are displayed and that means individual imapges wil remain on the front page longer. Also, it is nice to read the photographer's comments next to the thumbnail. Thanks.
keith turrill
With some types of photographs such as photojournalism and documentaries, the photographer's explanation is an important part of the composition. The comment box on the new layout is much better.
chris hughes
I agree. The comments are critical. I made this statement in another thread here but it bears repeating: I'd like to see the photographer's comments included on the "rate recent" photos too. pjmeade
Am I missing something? I don't see a change. Is it for IE? Cheers. Pete
arthurs
I don't like changes. Plus: now we have to scroll. I think it's confusing too.
john falkenstine
I don't see much difference here now between this and rate recent. Except that one is anonymous and one is not. What happened to "critique only" requests? Is it still being fine tuned?
matheww
I really like the new format, but I miss beaing able to seach for catagories. I like searching the "sports" "cars & veh", "digital alt" and such catagories without having to look at pictures I'm not interested in. Will this be possible? jnicholson
Peter, see Brian's comments here.
Mathew, the categories are listed on the right.

darrell_m
How do I now find the photos submitted as Critique Only. There used to be a button but I can't find it any more.
matheww
Thanks Jamie, I'll wear my dunce cap for the rest of the day for COMPLETLY missing that! (feeling really small)

kslonaker
I wasn't sure if I liked the new format (someone moved my cheese!), but after trying it, I like it a lot. Nice to read comments and see larger thumbnails, etc. Thumbs up from me.
emjordan
The photographer's comments are crucial for some images and I believe this was a big reason for low ratings because viewers didn't understand the background info of the photo. I like that the images are up much longer. So far the new format is a huge improvement for the critique forum! thanks - elisabeth
chris hughes
Exactly. That's why the photographer's comments should show up on the Rate Recent photos as well. Right now you have to drop out of the rating interface to see what a photographer said about their image. It's not intuitive and the vast majority of people probably never bother to do it. They rate the image and move on without ever seeing what the photographer had to say about it.
