alejandrokeller
Since some days now, the members page have become very slow. For instance, if I upload new pictures, it can be more than an hour before they show in that page (where the 3 thumbnails appear). The same goes to the rates received: new rates will increase the total number of rates long time after they were given. It is obvious that this is a measure to reduce the computing time at the server side. I have nothing against it but, my question is, how does that affects the interesting persons list? I mean, if I see that one of my interesting persons made a new contribution, I will go to his member page because I want to see what it was. If it is not updated, I'll just see the old stuff and probably miss what his new work is (specially in the cases where the member's PF is very large). So, once more, am I missing the contributions of my friends?
mottershead
The Community Member page can only get up to 1 hour out of date before it is generated again. So, if a friend made a contribution within the last hour, and you visitied your page, you wouldn't see it.
alejandrokeller
Sorry Brian, I guess I am just too impacient. One hour is very reasonable... But I was actually refering to the other way arround: the last contribution date of the interesting people is updated in real time. right? then, if I see that Mr. Interesting made a contribution, I'll have to wait an hour (worst case) before visiting his page in order to see what it was.
