Mamiya C330 film scans

Recommended Posts

Hi there,first time poster.

I have recently encountered an issue with my Mamiya C330, i'm not entirely sure what is causing it but i've had sets of scans back recently and i only got 5 back out of 12. I have attached the images to see if anyone knows what might be causing this problem. It was a roll of Ektar 100 120mm that i shot. Then i shot a roll of Portra 400 afterwards and it came out fine. All 12 images fully developed.

any help would be appreciated

Craig

The negatives look like this, correct? No detail, etc? Were there any strange things about the way the film was wound? Are the five "good" negs all in a row, or randomly scattered on the film?

It's hard to imagine a TLR doing this to the negatives. The path from lens to film is straight, and it's a leaf shutter.

Yeah the negatives look like this, these 5 images that i've attached were the only ones that came back out of the 12. The rest of the roll didn't develop at all. I'm going into my lab tonight so going to ask if they can give me anymore information. I'm doing a test shoot with a model Sunday and hoping that this doesn't happen with the rolls i plan on shooting.

The third and fourth images look like almost overlapping frames, so I suspect a film winding problem. Perhaps the film was not properly inserted into the take-up reel and it was slipping? You could try winding a roll of film with the back open and see if it advances properly. Edited by Glenn McCreery
