steve-walton
So many Mamiya RF users on this forum and very few of the same namesappear on www.mamiya7.com Wonder why that is? Does everyone post their work here, or not at all?
donald_brewster
I am not my camera.
derek_stanton2
I sometimes post about the Mamiya 6, but i don't own one anymore. And, i was not aware of the site you mention.
bob_cook
I don't post my work here or anywhere. Haven't taken the time yet, although I probably should. Wasn't aware of the other forum; I use a 6 not a 7.
david_henderson
Looks like a thinly veiled recruitment drive for a very small web-site.
steve-walton
No recruitment drive, just a question. I have no connection at all with the site, apart from posting images on it occasionally. I couldn't find any reference to mamiya7.com in the archive here. Given the high proportion of Mamiya 6&7 users here, I was wondering if there was a reason why relatively few people use it. jimdesu
Well, from my point of view, a lot of the photographic skills that I need to learn and refine have nothing to do with the type of camera I'm using. It's true that I don't shoot my M7 and my Medalist the same way, but the process in so far as what's going on in my noggin is the same, and limits me far more than my hardware. jeff_schraeder1
Steve, I check the Mamiya site about once a month, mostly to see what kind of equipment issues people are having. The site is also useful if you have an equipment problem, the Mamiya rep responds quickly to equipment questions. There are also sections for light meters and large format Toyo gear. steve-walton
Jeff, it's an independent site. Nothing to do with the offical Mamiya site. as far as I'm aware, just a gallery for Mamiya RF users.
