Can I use the PS plugin in LR? (and if so, how?)

Go easy with me, guys, I am a novice in LR!
krisheylen
Apparently there's still no Neatimage plugin for Lightroom. Easiest way seems to "Edit in Photoshop", then apply the filter from there. Your filtered image will (can) be automatically added to your catalog in LR.

digitaldog
There’s zero advantage to any of these Lightroom plug-in’s IF you own Photoshop and the same plug-in. The develop module (rendering engine) is NOT open to 3rd parties. What LR does is render out a TIFF and the plug-in’s then apply their effects. Just like doing so in Photoshop. The plug-ins are not working within the Raw processing engine. So if you own these plug-in’s and Photoshop, just do the work there as there are no actual advantages in doing the work in LR. Use Kris advise and just edit in Photoshop.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
pcnilssen
Andrew, thank you. I guess I am not too familiar with LR yet, so all info is highly appreciated.
