tom_luongo1
How do I stop Lightroom 1.3 from automatically starting every time I insert acard into a USB memory reader? I usually have a card in the reader, so LR isstarting up every time I resume from standby mode which is pretty annoying. Auto Import is not turned on, as far as I know. Thanks. ellis_vener_photography
go into your Lightroom Preferences menu and uncheck the first option under the menu tab - the "Show import dialog when memory is detected" option, and the restart the program. JosvanEekelen
A related issue with Lightroom: I don't recall the exact name of the program (Adobe Photo Downloader or so?) but it was very persistant. Couldn't get it away by unchecking option(s) in Lightroom. I had to use Ccleaner to stop it from automatically starting with Windows XP. With every update of Lightroom it keeps coming back. alan_olander1664878205
If changing the Lightroom Preferences doesn't do it, click on the "Adobe Photo Downloader" icon in the task bar and disable it. Or, go into the System Configuration Utility > Start Up tab and uncheck "apdproxy".
