wogears
Hello! Thanks to the new DinkySize® postings, every submission seems to be downsampled and filled with lots of new JPEG artifacting. I really think we either need the old "Large" view back, or new guidelines for submission.

WJT
You might as well add me to the list too. I understand the LARGE view is in the works. The only way I can view the photographs large is to append the following to the end of the URL : &size=lg For example, LARGE VIEW This is a very inconvenient method. adi1
Brian is working on it (that's what I've read in another thread), so let's hope, that the large view button is going to be restored real soon. The method of adding " &size=lg " at the end of the URL is not a satisfying solution... but as long as the link to " &size=lg " is not broken (and it's not) we can remain optimistic... :)
chrisspracklen
I, too, am extremely disappointed with the JPEG artefacts produced by photo.net's harsh treatment when downsizing and compressing!! Great pictures are simply ruined by this process that seems to be worse than ever. By contrast, when you upload to 'Usefilm', (a similar site to photo.net), your pictures hardly seem affected at all. Once again, I'm extremely disappointed!! Chris Spracklen
tim_adams
Even on the large view the some photos look horrible. When I have posted the same photo on other sites like Fred Miranda, they look fantastic. Looks like I'll be posting elsewhere.
farhad
I agree, especially as more and more people are now using large (19"+) and high resolution monitors.
