bjcarlton
I read the endless posts about the photo rating systems that have beentried, and it seems that whatever system gets tried, there's a way togame it. I find myself wanting to avoid the whole manipulation thingand see for myself what photos in the middle of the pack look like, but haven't found a way to get there other than repeatedly clickingthe "next" button. Is there some way of jumping to, say, photo 700 ofthe 1400 or so currently up for ratings? Or do I have to start atwhatever gets rated "top" and dredge my way "down"? I suspect theremay be some very interesting ones buried in there, condemned toanonymity by the vagaries of the rating system.
bdpics
I raised this issue about a week ago, and it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I agree with you 100%--most of the images I really want to see and take the time to comment on are the ones farther back in the pack from the rate-manipulators....lol. I think it would be very easy to do (most websites utilize this feature) we just have to convince the powers that be...... BD
mattvardy
I agree that the current page-by-page navigation is a huge hassle. But there is a way to start from the end and work your way forward. Rather than hitting "next" at the very beginning, hit "previous" and you will see the lowest rated images of the bunch - usally averaging in the 3 or 4 range... if you are lucky you might find a few diamonds in the rough, so to speak. I usually find the most original and interesting images further down the list or near the middle, too... so instead of working your way from the top of the list towards the middle, you could try working your way from the bottom of the list towards the middle. bjcarlton
Thanks for the suggestion, Matt. It had never occurred to me. I just tried it, and damned if there weren't several pictures of insects in the first few pages. No nudes, though, which I took to be promising. orensztajn
That was a good hint, I always look photos here, and agree the originals one are in the middle or little behind. Thanks
neild
Matt, I've been using that method too, but it still doesn't help to reach the middle!! Oh, well...
JRX94
Good question Barry, and good hint Matt. So simple and obvious i never thought of it, however i frequently felt frustrated to have to "scroll down" the pictures.
