johngoodman
This couldn't have been filmed on a paillard h16 reflex, right? Is it more likely this was filmed on a REX-5? Or an electronic motor bolex? Is it possible to tell what kind of aperture lens was used for this?
mwmcbroom
As with any interchangeable lens system, the quality of the images that you see is almost entirely dependent upon the lens being used. If the camera is functioning normally at a standard speed, I don't think it's possible to tell which camera is being used.
glen_h
I suspect that sometimes you can identify a camera by the exact outline of the frame. Some have rounded corners, some less rounded. That should mostly identify different models, but small imperfections might even allow different ones of the same model. You might be able to identify the lens by the bokeh, if you can see that. -- glen
