aaron pryor
hi just wondering if anyone knows if you can get a canon G10 converted into infrared ? an is it a good one to get converted. an if you can convert it do you still need a filter on it like a {hoya R72} or once its converted you dont need any type of filter. thanks
dbcooper
Don't know about other companies (try googling 'IR digital camera conversion'), but Lifepixel can do that to a G10. They converted an SD800IS for me a couple of years ago, and did a nice job.

They can do a conversion three different ways: a) IR-only (no external filter needed), b) deeper IR-only (no external filter needed), or c) IR+visible light (IR filter needed for IR; 'hot mirror' filter needed to cut IR for 'normal' pics, or use no filter to shoot IR+visible light). www.lifepixel.com
