tommie_porter
I'm comparing the D90 to the D300 using the comparometer and I've run across something very strange. Specifically, when looking at the ISO 1600 and ISO 3200 pics of these two cameras, the one on the left always looks better.

So when the D300 is on the left side, it looks better and the same holds true for the D90. Somebody please try this out and tell me I'm crazy.

TP
mike_earussi1
Tommie, since they have the same sensor they should be virtually identical, which, as far as I can tell, they are.
elliot1
I use the IR site a lot and have never found an issue with its performance. I just did a quick test displaying the ISO 3200 image from each of the cameras you listed and then reversed them. They looked identical on both sides of my monitor (meaning the image quality did not vary when I reversed the positions of the pictures). Perhaps it is a problem with your monitor.
bill_tuthill
Often the left side of an LCD monitor is sharper, especially as it nears end of life.
Sanford
Bill, is that really true or are you attempting a little end of the year humor?
