hungba2308
Hi everybody, This is the beginning of winter, I love snow. So, I have a trip to Japan at this time. However, my camera is having trouble shooting when the weather is below 0 degrees Celsius. When operating at temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius, the camera will not autofocus or focus mechanism but does not capture the subject. Please help me! dcstep
That's not very cold. The 1D X should function well below 0-fahrenheit. I've stood beside 1D X users at -10-fahrenheit, with no issues. The lenses play a big part of AF in the system. Do you have this trouble with all lenses? If so, there's something wrong with your body and only a repair shop, like Canon's, can fix it. If not, then one of your lenses has a problem. In the Southern hemisphere, it's the end of summer. In the Northern hemisphere it's the end of winter. Where are you writing from? Mark Keefer
You could try cleaning the camera to lens gold contacts. Be careful. Cheers, Mark
JeffOwen
The only thing that I can think of is moisture in the lens that freezes at Zero Celsius. Try putting the lens(es) in a very dry environment for a few days.
