rick_schneider
I have a freshly shot roll of Konika 750nm Infrared B&W film, and no dark room of my own to develop it. I am in the Bay Area, CA (near Palo Alto/San Jose). Can anyone recommend a good B&W photo lab nearby? Or one I could use via mail? I just want the negatives for scanning. I called Keeble and Shuchat (Palo Alto) today - anybody have good things to say about them? Rick Schneider P.S. For anyone interested in digital IR - I have been experimenting with my 10D - but the very long exposure times make this a painful process. vijay_kumar3
Keeble and Shuchat should be fine. A very good lab is Calypso Imaging in Santa Clara http://www.calypsoinc.com/ Of course if you have a friend with access to a darkroom, it should be fairly straightforward. In fact this is something you can do easlily at home. All you need are basic chemicals, a developing tank and a reel, and a dark closet to load the film in the tank. If you do B&W with any frequency it would be worth the while to do it yourself.
