Getting server errors at photonet

FYI:

I have noticed more and more server errors recently on photo.net. This

just started a couple of weeks ago or so. Often it happens when I hit

my 'back' button. But I also get it when clicking on a link

to a forum thread. If I refresh the page it usually loads the proper

content

Example:

>HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html;

charset=iso-8859-1 MIME-Version: 1.0 Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2002 23:40:51

GMT Server: NaviServer/2.0 AOLserver/3.3.1+ad13 Content-Length: 547

Connection: close

I'm not officially back at work yet. I got the satellite dish on my new house last night; but I don't have email yet. When I'm back on the job, I'll add some logging code to the servers to try to get a handle on this Server Error issue. I'm getting them too, but I wouldn't say that it is very frequent; a few per day, and generally I'm on and off the site all day long. Thanks for the reports.

As a system and network administrator, I can may be help you, that problem is due to the file system on the AOL server, it always arrive when too much files are open at the same time, in order to fix the problem, you will have to allow more files to be open at one time, on linux it is in the /proc/ directory, I have no idea on AOL server... good luck
