almorrisphotography
<p>Hi all. I am having trouble getting any traffic with my flash website. I have the option to add a html version on the backend but for $100. I quite like my website and have no desire to change. but if it's not working....Is it worth doing or starting from scratch? I originally posted this in the webistes forum but it appears to be not frequented very often.<br> Good luck, take care.<br> Al</p>
marc_rochkind
True, Flash eliminates iOS traffic, bit I doubt that's the problem, unless your site focuses on iOS, such as an iPhone photography site. (Typed on an iPad.)
williamchuttonjr
<p>If you don't ditch Flash now, you will have to ditch it sometime within the next 2-3 years.</p> <p>Flash is slowly but surely going away because Flash is resource intensive. Forgetting about iOS for a second, Flash destroys the battery life of any mobile device. Then, why would you make your site useless to 30-40 million iPad/iPhone owners? Even Adobe has announced a HTML5 alternate and a HTML5 Flash conversion product. </p>
Matt Laur
I am using an iPad right now, to read this thread. Which means I can't look at your web site in order to comment. Which is sort of a comment in and of itself, I suppose.
otto1
I am also using iOS right now, but my slant is different. Flash is not going to benefit you with search engines if that is where you put your text. All text becomes a graphic. There is no way that I would ever build a website in Flash because I want people to find me.
