mark_sirota1
The Nikon ML-3 might me what you're looking for. Don't know whether a water droplet would trigger it, though.
Mattman944
Be aware that the best water drop shots are done with an open shutter in a dark room. The falling water drop triggers the flash. The duration of a flash can be much shorter than the fastest shutter speed.
leicaglow
A modulite won't do it, but it could be used in building such a system. Jeff, go to YouTube.com and look up "Arduino trigger" and see if someone there has exactly what you're looking for--or rather how to build one.
