robert x
Hello kind people - I was wondering what was the best type of finder to use on the ground glass screen that fits on the back of the SWC series of cameras. Is it best just to use a waist level finder ripped off a 500 or similar, or did HB make a special finder for this piece of kit ? If anyone uses something in particular that they like, please let me know. Thanks Robert X
john_otway
Try the standard magnifying hood or prism finder.
kerkko_kehravuo
The finder that was made for Flxbody (RMx, or something like that). Finder suits both cameras, ground glasses are different. Kerkko K.
john_otway
A footnote: if the ground glass is purely for focusing purposes ( other than copying work ) I've used a SONIN laser rangefinder which you can set in either feet or metres.
robert x
John - I've been using the magnifying hood, but its a pain, and my prism too. Also it is mainly for making sure lines are straight &c, rather than purely for focusing, though of course usefull there too. I think the RMfx is what I need to track down now - thanks KK ! ulrik
Another informed vote for the RMfx. Ulrik
nik4s
I use the RMFX finder that others have recommend, found one on the net in England. It is worth the price if you use the SWC a lot. It is discontinued, so an auction site has them every once and while. Good Luck
russ_britt3
The chimmney finder is the easyest to use I think. They are real cheap used.
