Tony Evans
Can't get my 40.5 mm thread lens hood on and don't want to force it. Info says the 50/1.8 is 40mm. Can anyone confirm that the 50/2.8 is the same? Can't find specifics for this lens on-line.
Thank you.
Tony. Tony Evans
john_shriver
Yeah, Canon really liked their 40mm filters! Used on many of their lenses. Never a 40.5mm one.
jim_bielecki1
Check the Canon Museum website for info on Canon screw mount lenses.
Brian1664876441
It uses 40mm filters. Minolta also used 40mm filters for their 85/2.8 lens. Walz made 40mm coated filters and a beautiful vented hood. I bought several off of Ebay. What are you looking for?
Tony Evans
Thank you Jim & John. Will try the 40mm Fuji FinePix Lens Hood on E-B. Tony Tony Evans
glen_h
The LTM 50/2.8 that I have has an adaptor to series VI. I never thought about using filters without it. (And also never used it without filters.) There is a ring that holds the filters in, or a lens shade instead of the right. More recently, I now have the 50/1.4, maybe the first 1.4 lens I ever owned. I am not sure what filters it uses. -- glen
