rick_drawbridge
A great start to 2020, and many thanks, Mike, for initiating this thread once again. Here is a selection from a Minolta Alpha 807SI with the Minolta 24-105mm f/3.5-4.5D lens. I'm still getting to grips with this outfit but, so far, I'm pleased with the results. Mike Gammill
Great series with the Konica, Rick. Konica was the first SLR line my family sold at their camera shop, though by the time we opened it was now the T3 and A3 that were current models. Of course, the superb 57mm f 1.4 was still in the line.,

Mike Gammill
Thanks, Rick. Back in the day the cost of moving up from an f 2 or f 1.7 or so to an f 1.4 wasn't much- maybe 30 to 40 USD depending on brand. Rather like going from a 5.7 liter V8 to a 6.2 liter V6 back in the day as well. Nowadays, the jump to faster glass is lot higher (except for those of us who can score great deals on used gear). No complaints, here as IMHO, I think we live in the best of all worlds as classic gear that was once out of reach for many of us is available inexpensively or sometimes even given away. Present day we see lenses produced that were once thought impractical due to expense or engineering obstacles.
