mondiani
Hello dear fellow photographers,
I just launched my event & promotional photography website and would like to have your opinion about it. Design, ease of use, navigation, english (my mother language is french).
Especially the english faq, the search engine, and display within different resolution, browser and OS.
Well I don't expect a full check but just a little help from some of you :-).
In advance a big thank you
Mondiani www.mondiani.com

paul_griffiths
Takes forever to load and by the time the first photo appears you have given up waiting. Why not use smugmug, much quicker and looks better. Sorry to be negative but if you want everybody to say nice things you will not get an honest answer. mondiani
No need to be sorry Paul, thank you for your input.
I just compared size of this smugmug event website - same category than mine - http://obamaforillinois.smugmug.com/ and mine http://www.mondiani.com/
smugmug entry page weight 587k and mine 150k which is still heavy but 4 times less 4 times quicker than smugmug.
Moreover it lacks custom features I need. And it's way too expensive
As for smugmug looking better - I don't think so tough I have seen only 2 of them right now and a few more monthes ago.
But right I feel the need to improve mine... especially the entry page. I have a few new ideas since the time I post this message.
eric merrill
If you click on a thumbnail and your mouse happens to be over where the larger picture loads, it appears as if the larger picture never loads. I don't understand why the picture blinks out whenever the mouse is over it. Quite annoying. I'd lose that "feature" if it were my site.
mondiani
It's a "steal" protection, annoying for sure. But I got so few feedback from people on the photos. I guess for them the little sized pictures are enough. They download them and that's all folks, no thank you no prints sales. I will see if this trend will change. If so I will keep this feature if not I will loose it.
Thank you Eric for your feedback on that point.
Mondiani, event and promotional photographer
colin_c
Love the photos, as to english corrections, these are best done one-on-one at the website editor. It does annoy to lose the picture when the mouse scrolls over; why not put a 40% transparent copyright message there instead.
