KenPapai
I saw this film the other night and liked it a lot -- for sure it's a bit over over the top, but is an Aronofsky film.

Anyway, two types of EOS used for "filming" part of this movie: 5D2 and 7D.

reference:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0947798/technical

First time I've seen a 7D in the credits -- anything else recent, from this year using a DSLR in a feature film?

colin carron
The other day I watched a film crew make a trailer for a film for Sky TV (UK). They were filming outside my office window so I could keep an eye on them whenever I got bored. The cameraman seemed to be using either a Nikon D700 or Canon 5DII on a tripod - couldn't tell at the distance even with binoculars. A team of 19 people including a cast of 5 actors spent all day filming a trailer and the result was possibly 10 seconds in the finished ad. I was most impressed with the girl who play the part of the dead body. She had to lie on the wet, muddy, shingle river foreshore for most of the day for about 45 minutes at a time in cold weather and with minmal clothing. Impressive dedication. The trailer looked good too.
ryan_mckernan
This is great news! House, Tiny Furniture, and now Black Swan... I can't wait to see where TV and cinema take Canon HDLSRs next. Probably rig them for 3D...
dmanthree
Don't forget Iron Man II, where the 5D II was used car-mounted for chase scenes. I can't see DSLRs replacing dedicated video cams at that level, but due to their size they can be used where the larger cams can't, I guess. Interesting stuff.
