peter_j2
Perhaps your thread should be in Casual Photo Conversations? But, is this the YouTube link? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llHJF7kpciw
enrique_bocanegra
I believe he is referring to these two, also found on FM forums with exact same head line
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2xd3rJnzpk&feature=popt02us06
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z62QApi_yBA&feature=channel
However, I could not see a 7D in there anywhere, just 5DmkII's? Maybe the actual footage was from a 7D?

mark_loader
Yes, Peter, that's the one. Even made this Nikonian's heart beat faster! No, Enrique, it's not those two.
john_bellenis
What this commercial really proves is that photography - and cinematography - is about images and being in the right place, at the right time - with a knowledge of composition, lighting, timing and impact. Almost any camera could have captured wonderful images with a skilled photographer.

To further illustrate this point, the best images in the commercial were the actual live action ones - did anyone breathlessly wonder what video camera was used to capture those images?
MarcelRomviel
I have read in a dutch photomagazine that this commercial was shot with a 7D.
Andy Collins
That wouldn't surprise me at all; I read that NBC used a 7D and a 5DII to shoot broadcast segments of Saturday Night Live a few months ago.
mark_loader
You're right, Marcel. It was shot on the 7D. British actress Emma Thompson is producing a small independent movie called "The Journey" which is filmed entirely on a 5D mk2. I read an interview with an American celebrity photographer who said that big name Hollywood directors are looking at using the 5D mk2 for future projects. Who would have thought this twelve months ago?
