Dog Attack

You don't know when they could show up, and if they have a little experience

they can sneak up and catch you off guard as they almost did here. In this case

it was a mix breed and a large pit bull, who appeared out of nowhere. (This is

about the 4th dog attack in about 15 years and I had the camera ready). In this

case, I was shooting from the truck and had the window partially rolled up as a

precaution against exactly this kind of experience, which has happened to me

My mother found herself surrounded by a pack of wild dogs while trimming the evergreens in front of our home in La Grange Park, Ill., a Chicago suburb. They were experienced hunters and cooperated in attempting to surround and corner her. She was unharmed.

Have you ever considered tabloid headline writing?

No offense intended but my honest opinion is that this is a rather unremarkable photograph. I understand that you have a story behind it and that it means something (probably scary) to you but the photo in itself is a throwaway shot. It doesn't convey the fear the title "Dog Attack" would suggest.<br>

Call it "What's That, Lassie? Timmy's Stuck in The Well?" and toss it.<br>

Sorry, just my honest 2 bits.

Otherwise would you please let us hear your "survival of Pearl Harbour" story again. Sounds so fabricated to me; the dog looks so friendly ..., so far, what were you smoking? Sorry, but ... unbelievable head-line.

john, really... that dog is not displaying ANY of the physical "attack" signs i'm familiar with. Perhaps you are mistaken "attack" with "hey stranger, we wanna play"!

Noisy, and big, but I took this as a loud "Hey, how's it going ... "<p>

 

Would make a good watchdog though.<p>

Maybe Fido was just feeling a bit frisky and was looking for someones leg to become friends with. Lucky for John he was in his truck.

Fortunately, this savage beast only had his eyes on<div></div>

A dog with any kind of smarts will interpret a leering photographer's activity as aggressive -

which sometimes it is.

I narrowly escaped unharmed, myself. You can even see the paws and teeth coming at me.
