charles_mason
So my old eyes wonder if anyone out there has any clue on how to run down diopters for the Pentax 67? Or has anyone tried to have them made, say by an optical shop? Any thoughts?
Many thanks,
Charles
d_purdy
Last I checked they were still available new from a photo shop for not much money. the diopters for the 67ii are the same size.
chris_waller
I have reached the point where I am so longsighted that my near-point is in the middle of the next county. I can no longer get correction lenses for my Canon F1s so I searched out another make and fixed it into the eyepiece ring with epoxy adhesive.
celasun
You can have it cut by any competent optician to suit your ...taste :)
That is what I did and I am very happy with the result.
Christopher Sperry Photogr
I purchased a Pentax diopter for my Pentax67 on the big auction site years ago. Don't remember what I paid. There is currently a used Pentax -2 diopter on the big auction site, EX condition for $50.00. This may at least give you some point of reference for pricing.

I just got some new contact lenses, so I'm thinking of giving them another try. Otherwise, I would agree with having a custom diopter made by the optical shop.
donbright
So, is it common for an optometrist to provide that service, cutting diopters? I'll check that out. I hope its true because I don't see any availability of diopters for Pentax 6711, anywhere online, KEH, Adorama, B+H, etc.
