sierra_rich
I'm back in the midwest for Christmas and trying to help my neice with her new D5100. The camera's LCD display is active for 10 seconds and then goes blank. Guess this is the default setting. Where in the menu can she find the adjustments for the different times? BTW, we've gone over the manual and can't seem to find it there. Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Rich.

CvhKaar
'mm' is just the sound of 'mm' thinking, and does not mean anything..

You access the menu system by switching on the camera, pushing the menu button (= button on the left side of the viewfinder) , and navigate through the menu's using the multi selector ..

Menu C2 is one of the personal adjustment menu's ( the set of submenu's you get after selecting the menu with the pencil icon...) , it should say sometihing like "Timers" ... (not sure about the precise text since i am not nativive english speaking..) .

But surely, this is all clearly explained in the manual that comes witrh the camera , isn't it ??
sierra_rich
Much appreciate your help, CPM. The manual probably spells it out, but with all the distractions, she/we probably didn't recognize it when going thru the manual. Thanks again.
Regards,
Rich.
