Congratulations to NASA on Landing Perseverance on Mars.

The lander has sophisticated Photographic and Imaging equipment on board.

I am really excited about this event.

Way to go Guys and Gals.

Can't wait to see the photos it sends back to Earth. With a bit of luck we'll see the little drone take-off and land. Mars helicopter it's dubbed, in the belly of the Perseverance rover.

The very first picture came through yesterday, but was just the 'landing' camera. More images maybe this afternoon at 5:30 or so Eastern time at the Perserverance NASA website.

A postlanding briefing is expected at 5:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. PST) on NASA TV and YouTube.

 

The download of an image is on=going as I write, but it reminds me of the "300-baud modem" if anyone here remembers that.;)
