Asad Ali
As I upgraded my Xrite camera calibration software the (color cheker dng profiler), version 2.0 , I noticed that it now supports ICC profiling also of the tiff files. Any thoughts ?
Ed_Ingold
I have one, but not used it. The Passport kit came with my Color Munki Studio, and fits nicely in the phone pocket of my bag. The broad range chart has too few patches to do justice for critical applications. The face tone chart might be useful for portraits, which I rarely shoot. In either case, the lighting must be tightly controlled. Don't expect to use it in the field with any success. I find auto white balance to be very good these days. My main alternative is to set the color temperature, based on a one-time measurement, experience in a given venue, or an honest guess. That done, precise grading can be done in post, on a calibrated monitor.
digitaldog
Much depends on what raw processor you're using. Adobe raw engine doesn't use ICC camera profiles (for good reason) but rather DCP profiles. TIFF files are rendered. Usually (almost always) output referred, and thus so are the ICC profiles. Not the case with .DCP profiles. 1 Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
