adrian_seward
So, I've got a bunch of old mystery film in my fridge. I have no idea whether it will come out, so I want to get it processed CHEAP. Has anyone done the comparison shopping to see who has the cheapest? I'm thinking negatives only a target/walmart/cvs type place. Thanks,Adrian
zachariah_edwardson
first Q, is it c-41?
imaginator
Go to any 1-hour place that will let you have only negatives done (no prints) No use sending them out (or letting the local place send them out) Have them cut the negs in strips and put in sleeves. Usually costs $2-3 each roll.
bill_tuthill
Zachariah says it all. Most places do not accept film canisters without "C-41" so if for instance it says "process CNK" only (Konica's C41 equivalent) you shouldn't even bother to shoot it. adrian_seward
Yes, I should have been clearer. It's all c-41. And it's all exposed. What is a mystery is what's on it.
zachariah_edwardson
My local walmart charges just under $2 bucks for putting a roll though the machine and giving it back without prints.
thomas_sullivan
Wal-Mart does process only (no prints) for $1.79 including tax, per roll, in my area (southern New Jersey)....and a really nice job at that. CVS in my area sucks. Never tried Target.
Aoresteen
I'd watch the Sunday newspaper ads. Sometimes Walgreens & Target run 2 for 1 specials on their processing. Wal-Mart does it as well.
