Asad Ali Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 <p>My canon speedlight 420 ex mounted on canon 40D and 400D rebel with 24mm-85mm zoom lens many times causes high over exposure (completly flat) on P and Auto modes, and at same time quite under exposures (totally dark) and behaves quite in-consistently on these cameras. My first thought was that there might be a problem with the flash but when I tested it on Canon 1Ds Mark II using P and AV,TV modes and took a number of shots in different indoor and outdoor lighting conditions , there was no such problem and the flash was consistent.<br> Is this the .6 crop factor ?
