lonnie_ray
I recently shot a bridal wedding dress session with my Canon Digital...I shot(for comparsion)both in raw and in highest quality jpg. After downloading the shots to my computer, and opening the shots, of course I have two shots of each pose. Before doing any adjustments, when looking at the identical raw and jpg shots, the raw shot is sharp and clear and the jpg shot is fuzzy, almost like out of focus. But, when I open the shot up from the thumbnails, the jpg shot is just as clear as the raw. WHY? Is this just normal viewing of the thumbnails? If so, I have never noticed this before. Thanks for any help.
kari douma
Are you giving the thumbnails time to load? Sometimes I notice fuzzy thumbnails before they are finished loading. I especially notice this in my assistants files, and he shoots canon.
lonnie_ray
Yes, they are totally loaded..it is kind of wierd I guess, but, once I open the image, it is normal, clear as could be..it is just viewing it side by side the same image in raw thumbnail. trunfio
Well, I notice that in Bridge CS3, my preview window (which I set up to be very large) appears fuzzy. Only when I double click and open in Photoshop does the image appear as it should. This bothers me, but I work through it. Anyone know of a solution? Slideshow in Bridge is just fine, by the way. Ken Katz
With DPP this is normal (though not very helpful if you want to use DPP to review JPEGs)
lonnie_ray
Thanks all for your responses. Glad to know that I am not doing anything wrong, just a quirky feature of DPP I suppose.
fotografz
Same for Bridge CS3 for me also. It sucks IMO.
