david_henderson
For those with access to London over the next three weeks you might consider the two-part exhibition at the Flowers Gallery on Kingsland Road. Part of the show is dedicated to a new theme- that of salt pans in western India; the remainder is a small excerpt from a major retrospective also featured in a new book-Essential Elements- that I have and also recommend. The photographs are very large and are photographed and presented very well indeed.

http://www.flowersgallery.com/exhibitions/view/edward-burtynsky-essential-elements

c_watson1
Great work. He also owns a first rate pro lab(Toronto Image Works)--one of the last here with tight C-41 and B&W film lines.
colin carron
Thanks for that, David. I saw some of his work at Somerset House a while back. His work is always riveting and the quality of the huge prints is very impressive. Will make a note!
AJHingel
Just came back from the gallery to see this exposition: "Salt Pans". Indeed very impressive chromogenic prints (C-print) and Burtynsky is one of the few who limits his series to three. He also knows his prices and has taken account of the 20% devaluation of the pound after Brexit.
