ilya_zhavoronkov
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to hear which one shutter is better? Electronic or mechanic?
And what is the lowest EV for R4A's exposure meter to make accurate measure?
jean_yves_mead
The R4M is better at working without batteries; the R4A is better at offering auto-exposure. Barring the different paint finishes available, that's basically it. CameraQuest says both meters work from EV1 - EV19, and I'm not going to argue with Mr Gandy on that one. I can't remember the last time I had a problem finding SR44s; and given that they're the size of an aspirin and have a shelf life of pretty much forever, carrying spares isn't exactly a chore. jean_yves_mead
(Personally I like the extra capabilities of the -A cameras, and the presence of one of the most civilised exposure compensation settings ever, but I don't think you'd go wrong whichever one you chose)
