User_6502147
Howdy all,

I thought I was doing according to instructions (?):

Chose NEF > Edit
Adjusted settings, such as sharpness, exposure, bl bla
Cropping: Free Crop > Start >set the perimeters> Apply
Subsequently I converted the file to Jpeg.

I go to Pictures where the copy of the Jpeg resides and the image is exactly like the NEF (no resizing took
place) ??? What am I doing wrong....or not doing ? Are the settings off ?

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Les (signed confused)

hapien
I tried nef cropping in View NX2. Edit > Free crop > Start > set the perimeters > Enter > Convert images > Choose OK in save image dialog > Select converting settings > confirm convert and soon there are cropped jpeg in Pictures.

Edit: fixed typo
al_derickson
It also worked properly for me when I tried it. Be sure you have the latest version. This might have been a bug in a previous version.

Al
kari_oinonen
Capture NX-D has this bug in the previous version. The bug seemed to like portrait orientation more. Currently the latest version 1.2.1. is ok.
I got mixed up too, as my VNX-2 did like OP described.

Try the following, it worked in here: save the cropped (nef). Then convert to jpg.
It is also possible that the converted file goes to a another folder location.
