I have the opportunity to acquire a similar set for Contax (MM lenses) together with an AX body.Although some of the lenses are specific there is a great intersection between the two sets.I was wondering if the lenses are identical or have different formula.For example the 85mm/1.4 or 35mm/1.4.Thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
steven_moseley1 Posted September 10, 2007 Share Posted September 10, 2007 Hi, I am a Contax user and my understanding is that the Rollei SL Zeiss lenses are optically identical to the Contax Zeiss C/Y lenses. The only difference might be in coatings. The Contax have Zeiss T* whilst the Rollei have Rollei HFT coatings.
