  1. The Camera of the Future was a Retina IIIS, or close. At the same time the reflex types were coming in strong.

    Automatic processing of film by amateurs was just around the corner.

    What a set of RFs in the "5 new cameras"! Several of them in the manufacturers' ads, but all the same a bunch of great cameras.
  2. A particularly interesting issue/time.

    The Praktina was a "contenda" at the time - It took the Nikon F to knock it off the top of the mountain.
