503 errors

<p>That's just for one of the sidebar ads. Do you really care?</p>

<p>That only showed for about one in a hundred refreshes, most of the time it was a standard white background error message. The problem with the ad servers not responding is the script can't load the ad, you never get the data from Photo.net loaded.</p>

I've been having the same problems this morning for the last hour, but it has gotten better in the last 15 minutes or so. I thought it was something on my end with my Router, but made no changes.</p>

<p>The system has been slow all morning. It just took me three tries to get to this page. Three time-outs first. Getting to my homepage always (at least for a month of so) takes 3 or 4 tries. I use Safari on Mac OS X 10.4. Maybe it's a photo.net Safari compatibility issue, I don't know. </p>

<p>Fred I am using XP pro on a PC browsing with Firefox and my experience over the last month mirrors your own. From right around the time that PN truncated our home page view to those not logged in to PN in order to reduce time outs, the 504 and 503 rate increased.... possibly related to the tinkering and <em>"improvements"</em> as the site gets slower all the time.</p>
