john_sarsgard
I'm thinking of trying polaroid color sheet film to use as the original for 4x5 portraits. If one could make a really good copy negative of the polaroid print, the "instant proof" seems very attractive. If anyone has succeeded in doing something like this while producing a very high quality negative, would appreciate knowing which films you used and any other lessons learned. I'm well aware of the type 55 material for producing both print and negative for B&W.
doug_mcgoldrick2
I've tried to make copy negs before for polaroids, but I could never quite match the wonderfull polaroid color. The best result I've gotten to matching the polaroid color palette is by scanning the polaroids and then making epson prints.
jnanian
hi john: from what i remember, elsa dorfman (http://elsa.photo.net) shoots 20x24 polaroids, but she has the polaroids duped and the prints are made from the duplicate negative/chrome - or whatever she uses. she is really nice, you might want to email her from her website .... good luck! - john
