How come *this* wasn't converted to Photo.net site?

I just did a google search for <U>Nikkor 50mm f1.2 AIS lens</U> - and

found the old greenspun.com "Nikon Ai / Ai-S Lens" forum. At least,

I thought it was old - but some of the messages in it were as recent

as August 27 of this year. I can't seem to link directly to the

page, however - does that mean it was recently killed?<P>

It would be nice to see this forum somewhere on this site, as many of

us Nikon users enjoy discussing the Nikkor lenses. How's about it?

Well, in May when the decision was made as to which forums to move, that forum had perhaps 5 or 6 threads total, and some of those were just questions, no responses. Since then, there has been a little more activity. In 4 months, there are a couple of new threads and a couple of the unanswsered questions have answers. But it sure doesn't look active enough to be bothered moving it.

If people would like a Nikon forum, we are happy to host one. We just need a moderator. But in the past when this question has come up, people have claimed that there are already plenty of Nikon resources out there and that a Nikon forum on photo.net wouldn't get much activity.
